Hi Y’all! I’m Kenna
I am a performer based in New York City with a deep passion for the arts that began at a young age. I performed in my first show at the age of four, started dancing at six, and since then, I have been dedicated to improving my singing, dancing, and acting to its highest ability. I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance. My college experience was nothing like I imagined, but I feel incredibly blessed to have grown into the woman my younger self always aspired to be. I've learned that it's okay to stand up for myself, even when it feels intimidating. The only way forward is through, and that's something I've come to embrace.
Over the years, I have developed an interest in choreography and teaching. Currently, I work online for The Dallas Conservatory, a prestigious dance studio in Dallas, Texas where I would teach in-person acting and dance classes to ages 5-40yrs. Working with all different ages taught me that I love learning and growing with others. As someone who is consistantly seeking ways to grow and improve, I loved helping my own students feel confident no matter what kind of background they came from. With being new to the city, I am seeking opportunities that allow me to pursue dancing on the stage professionally. In the future, I would love to teach contemporary, jazz, or commercial hip-hop at STEPS on Broadway in New York.
Outside of my professional life, I am a proud member of a close-knit family. I have four other siblings, including my three younger triplet siblings. My family, along with our two dogs and one cat, are my biggest supporters, and I feel incredibly fortunate for their encouragement and love.
